The First Leg of the 2011 European Open Water swimming Cup , in Eilat, ISRAEL  took place  this week, with 19 countries taking part, including South Africa's Nataly Du Toit.  The team for the European Open water swimming Championships 2011, that will take place 5-11 September, will be identified from swimmers selected for the FINA World OWS Championships, Shanghai 2011 and from performances at the LEN Cup,Eilat

Eilat City, Isrotel and all who were involved, did a fantastic job with hosting the event, and creating a wonderful and international atmosphere on our Eilat beaches.   It was something special to see this all happening right here in Eilat. 

Carrie Anne Payne from the UK and Vladimir Diashin from Russia, were the winners of the open water competition, attended by 113 swimmers from 19 countries.
